The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs. ARPA-H advances high-potential, high-impact biomedical and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity. ARPA-H awardees are developing entirely new ways to tackle the hardest challenges in health. ARPA-H is funding the research and development of new ways to tackle the hardest problems in health, including cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease.
The Challenge
In order to expedite the transition of groundbreaking discoveries from the lab to the real world, ARPA-H-funded technology must graduate from the agency and survive in the wild. This takes a clear and early understanding of necessary product development and commercial roadmaps.
