P.I.T. PARTNERSHIP
Cradle Cincinnati

STAGES
Scale, Finance
Cradle Cincinnati is a respected cross-sector community initiative focused on reducing infant mortality and eliminating racial inequities in Hamilton County, Ohio. It brings together parents, caregivers, and healthcare leaders to support mothers and babies, particularly focusing on Black families who face higher risks and worse outcomes.
The Challenge
Scientific knowledge to support the health of pregnant mothers and infants exists, but this knowledge is not consistently or equally integrated across all communities. Community-driven health initiatives like Cradle Cincinnati must expand across the country to ensure equal access to this knowledge and these practices.
Our Approach
Digitalis Commons is helping Cradle Cincinnati craft a comprehensive expansion strategy that can grow beyond short-term grants or donor funding. This work involves conducting comprehensive market analyses, exploring diverse revenue models, and co-developing a business plan for national expansion. We are providing a critical supporting role to ensure the strategy is informed by data and stakeholder insights.
The Solution
With a clear roadmap and a sustainable business model, Cradle Cincinnati can successfully expand its reach and impact lives in communities far beyond Cincinnati. This partnership ensures their proven, equitable health practices are available to every mother and infant across the nation.
